AEROSOL ZINE

Aerosol is a 71-page graffiti zine. This first issue explores the street art and graffiti scene in Toronto, focusing on its most iconic neighbourhoods and featuring an in-depth artist profile. The concept behind the zine is to showcase graffiti from around the world, with each issue spotlighting a specific aspect of a city such as subways, railways, bridges, or neighbourhoods, before moving on to the next location.

For my process, I analyzed existing graffiti zines to understand the landscape and began by establishing Aerosol as a brand. After developing its identity I researched and explored each neighbourhood and curated imagery that authentically represented these spaces. To compliment the dynamic and boldness of the graffiti I designed the layouts and typography to be minimal and clean. I also applied a light grey overlay to all images for visual cohesion and created a custom typeface for the nameplate/logo on the cover, reinforcing the zine’s distinct identity.
